Active Departments
Add a branch.
Basic information, departments and contact details. Pick the currency with care: the branch's campaigns, events and donations are locked to it. Try saving with a field empty.
Each team works in its own branch.
Organisation-wide users choose which branch they're working in. Someone tied to a branch sees that branch only, wherever a branch applies.

Import from CSV
Start from the template; it runs in the background.
| Branch Name* | Phone Number* | Contact Email* | Branch Address* | Registration Number* | Main Branch* | Status* | Display Name | Time Zone |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Leeds | 01134960123 | leeds@example-charity.org | 14 Park Row Leeds | REG-100234 | TRUE | Active | Leeds | UTC |
| London | 02079460456 | london@example-charity.org | 221 Whitechapel Road London | REG-100371 | FALSE | Active | London |
Columns marked * are required. Each branch name must be unique; an empty or unrecognised time zone becomes UTC.

Mark one main branch.
It stands out in the list, on its record and in exports.
Start with the departments you need.
A new branch needs at least one; add more under Departments later.
Keep contact details current.
The primary email and phone are how the branch is reached.
Deactivate, don't delete.
An inactive branch stays on record and can be switched back on.
Questions, answered.
Can we run more than one branch?
Yes. Add as many as you need. Each has its own address, contact details, registration number and departments.
Can each branch use its own currency?
Yes. Choose it when you create the branch. Its campaigns, events and donations use that currency, and it can't be changed afterwards.
What is the main branch?
The branch you switch on as main. It's marked in the branch list, on its record and in exports.
Can staff see only their own branch?
People tied to a branch work in that branch: payment methods and email marketing settings show their branch only. Organisation-wide users choose which branch they're working in.
Can each branch take payments separately?
Yes. Payment methods are connected branch by branch, so each one can use its own.
Can a branch be switched off?
Yes. Set it to Inactive, and activate it again whenever you need to.
Can we import our branches?
Yes, from a CSV. Branch name, phone number, contact email, address, registration number, main branch and status are required, and each branch name must be unique.
Can we export the branch list?
Yes, to Excel, CSV or PDF.
